Wonderful Words Day – Can We Get Mr Birkett to £250?

A huge thank you to everyone who took part in our Wonderful Words Day! It was great fun, and it was fantastic to see so many creative and imaginative costumes across the school. The children (and adults!) really embraced the spirit of the day!

We were raising funds for our new spelling programme, which will help raise the profile of spelling across school and, most importantly, support our children in developing their spelling skills.

We fell just a little short of our fundraising target, so Mr Birkett has decided to take matters into his own hands…and legs...quite literally!

Next weekend (4th October), Mr Birkett will be running the 10K in Glasgow — and if we can reach £250 in total donations, he will run it in his full Wonderful Words costume, complete with orange tutu and pink headband! 🧡

If we don’t quite reach £250, don’t worry — any money raised will still go to our spelling programme, and if the target is met, the surplus will go to the Friends Association.

If you’re able to make a small contribution, we’d be incredibly grateful. Every donation will help — and could help us get Mr Birkett onto the streets of Glasgow in that unforgettable outfit! 😂
